Dr. Felicitas Scholz successfully completed her physics studies with a focus on solid state physics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 2016. Afterwards, she started her PhD at the Chair of Materials Science with the topic "Metallographic investigation of mosaicity in single-crystalline nickel-based superalloys", which she completed with distinction in early 2021. Subsequently, she worked as a science manager at the Materials Research Department at the Ruhr-University Bochum, where she was mainly involved in the areas of transfer and cooperation with industry, the promotion of young researchers and science communication. At the beginning of 2023, she was awarded the Feodor Lynen Fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Society, with which she spent seven months at the école nationale supérieure de chimie de Paris - PSL, conducting research in the field of beta-titanium alloys. Since August 2023, Felicitas Scholz has been Scientific Managing Director of the Research Center Future Energy Materials and Systems at the Ruhr University Alliance.
